Perrywoods
United was formed to provide the opportunity
for youngsters, irrespective of ability to play
football under the supervision of F.A qualified
coaches, whilst learning good attitude, discipline,
above all enjoyment and expression of the great
game of football.
This to help them develop their own personality,
character and respect for others & facilities,
developing them as both good footballers and
confident young people.
Multi-League
was a pioneer in that youngsters are introduced
gradually to football, in small sided games,
then graduate to 11-a-side as teenagers in
the Youth Section.
The
small sided game enables young players to
:
1. Get plenty of ball contact – develop ball
techniques
2.
Get closer to play – higher interest and concentration
3.
Score more goals – everyone loves scoring
a goal !
The
sad truth is that it is no longer safe enough
for kids to learn by playing football in the
streets for hours on end. So this sets the
challenge for us as coaches and as a club
– can we take the ball contact, lack of pressure,
social skills and enjoyment which street football
provided, an put them into a safe and stimulating
environment for young players.
